VENTEON / HRS is hiring for multiple Sr. Payroll Manager opportunities in the Metro Detroit area.
POSITION TYPE: Full time. Direct Hire. Salary plus bonus potential. PTO and benefits provided.
Requirements of the Sr. Payroll Manager:
- Bachelor Degree is highly desirable. CPP certification is a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years experience working in payroll operations.
- A minimum of 4 years managing a payroll team.
- High volume, multi state payroll skills are a must.
- Extremely knowledgable in multi state Payroll Taxes.
- Prior experience with payroll software implementations and upgrades.
- Solid organization and commmunication skills.
- Skills in large payroll software packages such as ADP, UltiPro, SAP, Oracle, etc.
Duties of the Sr. Payroll Manager
- Provide strategic planning and support for a large payroll operation.
- Function as Payroll subject matter expert and communicate effectively with people at all levels.
- Fully responsible for high volume multistate payroll on weekly, biweekly and monthly frequencies.
- Hiring, trainng, motivating and supporting payroll staff. Delegation and supervision of work duties.
- Provise support for escalated issues.
- Manage the physical payroll processing including application of all special pays, bonuses, reimbursements, deductions, garnishments, and taxes.
- Oversight of payroll tax filings (940/941, W2) and ensuring compliance.
- Produce payroll reporting.
- Interface with HR and Finance teams to accomplish goals.
