Ventrix Advertising ( a leader in paid and organic media and marketing online is growing its team in Reno, NV. Ventrix specializes in helping students and adult learners find high-quality higher education opportunities on the web.

We have an immediate opening for a PR Manager or Sr. Manager for our flagship website, EduMed.org. EduMed is a leading provider of nursing and allied health education information online. The ideal candidate will have established media relationships, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of creating and executing successful PR campaigns to grow young brands. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated PR experience in one or both of EduMed’s two core industries : nursing / allied health and higher education.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Planning :

Create comprehensive PR strategies aligned with EduMed.org’s core business objectives, emphasizing brand visibility and audience engagement.

Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop key messaging and brand narratives that resonate with our target audiences.

Content Creation :

Oversee the planning and development of engaging and shareable content, including press materials, blog posts, and social media updates.

Ensure all content aligns with EduMed’s brand voice and messaging.

Client Management :

Develop and maintain strong content and media partnerships, ensuring partner satisfaction and identifying opportunities for account growth.

Serve as the main point of contact for current and potential content partners, understanding their goals, objectives, and unique brand positioning.

Media Relations :

Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media and content partnership contacts.

Pitch compelling stories, press releases, and media kits to secure positive media coverage for EduMed.

Secure media interviews for feature stories.

Campaign Execution :

Lead the execution of PR campaigns, coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure seamless implementation.

Monitor and analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

Proven experience as a PR Manager, focusing on content marketing companies and / or young brands.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in media monitoring tools, PR software, and Microsoft Office.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of current trends and best practices in higher education and online learning a plus.

Knowledge of current trends and best practices in nursing and allied health a plus.

Desired Location : Reno, NV

Employment Details :

This is a contractor position. That said, Ventrix Advertising offers the following perks to remain competitive in today’s evolving job market :

Salaries that take into account the tax responsibilities of an independent contractor.

Monthly bonuses for you to use toward personal care and growth.

Flexibility in time and place of work.

Additional bonuses throughout the year based on individual and website performance.

Compensation :

Base salary range (DOE) : $70,000 - $90,000

Separate monthly bonus of $1,000 for personal care and growth.

TOTAL COMPENSATION RANGE (ANNUAL) : $82,000 - $102,000
