Job Summary:
As the Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that daily operations run efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with the Office Manager, dental team, patients, and management to ensure an exceptional patient experience and maintain a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Relations: Ensure a welcoming, professional, and positive experience for all patients; resolve any concerns or issues promptly.
- Scheduling & Appointment Management: Coordinate and maintain the dentist’s schedule to optimize patient flow, reducing wait times and ensuring timely care.
- Billing & Insurance: Assist with patient billing, insurance verification, and claims processing to ensure accuracy and timely payment collection.
- Inventory & Supplies: Maintain office supplies, equipment, and inventory, ensuring everything is fully stocked and in optimal working condition.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure the office is compliant with all dental regulations, HIPAA requirements, and practice protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dentists, office manager and team members to ensure a cohesive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an office role, preferably in a dental or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Dental Procedures: Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and insurance protocols is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage with patients, team members and vendors professionally.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient in dental office management software (Carestream, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar) and basic office software (MS Office Suite).
- Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
- Education: High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
