Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and oversee all maintenance operations within our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership and project management, ensuring that all maintenance activities align with our organizational goals and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of union maintenance technicians and personnel.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and professional development.
Strategic Planning & Project Management
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Plan and manage maintenance projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Coordinate with other departments to align maintenance activities with overall organizational objectives.
Operational Oversight:
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency response.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and regulations.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, controlling costs while maintaining quality.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in maintenance operations.
- Analyze data to track performance metrics and make informed decisions for resource allocation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies that can enhance maintenance efficiency.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure the timely procurement of parts and services
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address maintenance needs and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance performance, budget status, and project outcomes to upper management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Food & Beverage Experience a plus.
- Experience working with union employees is a plus.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within maintenance or facilities management.
- Knowledge of PLC’s, VFD’s, motors, pumps, ammonia systems, boilers, compressors, and food processing equipment.
- Knowledge and application of PM & PdM technologies
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations.
