Hourly Rate: $27.83 (Overtime and weekends may be required)
Shift: 2nd Shift - 2pm - 10:30am
Job Summary
The production clerk will be responsible for production reporting, yield and efficiency reports, and data entry into the CitrOS system. This position requires great attention to detail and understanding of the production process to generate reports accurately.
Primary Responsibilities
- Food Safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees. All Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees must be aware of CCPs in their area and how to document them appropriately. All staff must report food safety and quality problems to their immediate supervisor in charge during their shift.
- Responsible to a specific CCP in the HACCP plan regarding.
- CCP #3 – Receipt of empty or full tanker, loading of tanker. This task is done by an operator, supervisors, Asst Plant Manager, Manager, Concentrate Operating or Sr. Production Clerk or other Production Clerks.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports including yield and efficiency. Review for 100% accuracy.
- Create WIP product and consume into semi/finished goods.
- Analyze data and report trends to management as needed.
- Retrieve production information from the plant supervisory staff and group leaders as necessary.
- Assist in preparing bills of lading for shipments.
- Assist in entering essential data into the CitrOS system.
- Assist Visalia plant as needed.
- Demonstrate reliable attendance, consistent punctuality and a conscientious attitude always.
- Act professionally towards customers, vendors and visitors.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required.
- Participates in meetings, in-service training, workshops etc. for the purpose of conveying and gathering information required to perform job function.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Familiar with ERP applications a must.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- The ability to work successfully in a team involvement environment is a must.
- Must be detail oriented and possess good organization skills.
- Background knowledge in industrial processing equipment, and materials helpful.
- Good administrative and coordinating skills; ability to work across functional lines.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment. Must have excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
- Associate’s degree or two (2) years college study in Business Administration.
- One to five (1-5) years’ experience in a maintenance role with a food processing company.
- Purchasing experience, a plus.
- Project management skills helpful.
Physical Requirements
The ability to meet flexible and changing priorities and the ability to work under pressure is a must. Flexibility in work schedule is also required. Will be in an office environment requiring the ability to sit, stand, walk, talk and listen for extended periods of time. Minimal climbing, lifting and bending. May also need to go into the production facility to follow up on forms/data etc.
