Hourly Rate: $27.78 hour (Overtime and weekends may be required)
Shift: 1st Shift
Job Summary
The Production Clerk will be primarily responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of all production, yield and efficiency information, preparation of bills of lading for shipments going to customer locations, and data entry into the CitrOS system. In the absence of this position, the other production clerk(s) covers these job duties.
Primary Responsibilities
- Food Safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees. All Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees must be aware of CCPs in their area and how to document them appropriately. All staff must report food safety and quality problems to their immediate supervisor in charge during their shift.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports including yield and efficiency. All information shall be checked for reasonableness and 100% accuracy prior to publication. All information must be completed in an accurate and timely manner. Timeliness is a critical component of this job function.
- Analyze data received from manufacturing processing and ensure the information is accurate and reasonable before proceeding with the use of this information. Analyze results to make sure they are reasonable relative to parameters for this result, within range of expectations, and have confidence that the information truly represents the activities in the manufacturing processing departments.
- Analyzes resulting data and report trends to management as needed.
- Prepare/calculate production Key Performance Indicators for plant and corporate dashboard.
- Perform cycle counts of inventory materials. Learn and understand citrus process flow of the Tipton Plant.
- Coordinate with Blending Specialist the accuracy of the various blends and batches as they pertain to the Visalia Plant.
- Assist in preparing bills of lading for shipments.
- Monitor tanker arrivals and coordinate customer delivery schedules with Logistics Manager and Manager of Operations.
- Retrieve production information from the plant supervisory staff and group leaders as necessary.
- Assist in entering essential data into the CitrOS system.
- Assist Visalia plant as needed.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations including the wearing of all personal protective equipment where needed.
- Follow all food safety/quality and personal hygiene practices.
- Food Safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees. All staff must report food safety and quality problems to their immediate supervisor or the supervisor in charge during their shift.
- Responsible to a specific CCP in the HACCP plan regarding:
- CCP #3 – Receipt of empty or full tanker, loading of tanker. This task is done by an operator, supervisors, Asst Plant Manager, Manager, Concentrate Operating or Sr. Production Clerk or other Production Clerks.
- Demonstrate reliable attendance, consistent punctuality and a conscientious attitude always.
- Act professionally towards customers, vendors and visitors.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must possess keen analytical skills and a relentless pursuit of accurate information.
- Must be able to work under stressful situations and meet strict deadlines without sacrificing the quality of work.
- Must be logical in their thought process and able to solve moderately difficult mathematical problems easily.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint and large-scale ERP applications a must.
- The ability to work successfully in a team environment is a must.
- Must be willing to work weekends when necessary.
- High School diploma or equivalent is a must.
- Associates/bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting is a plus.
- At least two (2) years’ applicable analytical experience in a manufacturing environment is a must.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to meet flexible and changing priorities and the ability to work under pressure is a must. 80% of time is spent in a normal office environment at a computer terminal. 20% of the time is spent walking and climbing in a plant environment retrieving data, finding information etc.
