Position Summary :

Major Duties and Responsibilities :

Reporting and Analysis :

Preparation and analysis of Financial Results
Preparation and coordination of the presentation to the Board of Directors
Historical trend analysis
Report on Key Financial performance metrics
Analyze financial ratios and communicate insights to Senior leadership
Adhoc Financial Analysis, modeling & presentations

Budgeting and Forecasting :

Coordination of budget and forecast process including communication and planning of dates and deliverables

Weekly Latest Estimate of month’s financial performance

Work closely with business partners to prepare quarterly forecasts

Work closely with Finance leads to create annual budgets and quarterly forecasts

Assist Director of FP&A to drive financial initiatives

Process Improvement :

Identify and implement process efficiencies to reporting and analysis

Partner with Information Systems to improve current financial systems

Develop Financial Models that will streamline analysis and reporting

Education and Experience :

BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required

2-4 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, modeling & reporting required

Advanced proficiency with MS Excel & PowerPoint required

Excellent verbal, written and listening skills are required

CPA or MBA a plus

Experience with JDE, AS400, BI a plus

Knowledge and Skills :

Must be detail oriented, organized and highly analytical

Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Ability to work successfully in a team environment

Ability to grasp new concepts and problem solve

Understanding of manufacturing variances

Salary Base Range of $82,155.00-$105,242.55 for Employees Located in California

The “base salary range” provided above is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The range provided is for California-based employees as Ventura Foods is required by California State Law to post pay rates. Ventura Foods reserves the right to pay outside of the given range based on a variety of factors including but not limited to : candidate skills and experience, complexity of the job, budgetary factors, and location / geography. Ventura Foods conducts regular reviews of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.

Physical Demands :

All jobs require sufficient physical strength and dexterity to perform the required task(s) and typically also require at a minimum : intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Typical shifts are 8-12 hours per day. Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may also be required. Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and / or legal requirements. In addition, certain jobs may require employees to :

Work outside and / or in adverse temperatures which could include extreme heat, cold, and humidity;

Be exposed to vibrations, chemicals used in operations, fumes and food allergens (may include soy, dairy and other allergens); and

Be required to work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet.
