Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Travel Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. The successful candidate will be based in Virginia and work a variety of shifts, including 6am-6pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Airway Management: Safely secure and manage airways for patients requiring respiratory care.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians to treat various respiratory conditions.
- Vent Management: Monitor and adjust ventilators to ensure optimal patient care.
- ABGs and O2 Therapy: Analyze blood gas samples and provide oxygen therapy as needed.
- Suction, Pulmonary Toileting, and Nebulizer Use: Perform these procedures to help maintain patient comfort and cleanliness.
- BiPAP and CPAP Experience: Provide life-sustaining support to patients requiring non-invasive ventilation.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of recent RRT experience is required.
- Previous travel experience is preferred, as is Epic system familiarity.
- Excellent analysis and interpretation skills to inform patient care decisions.
- Knowledge of medical gas cylinders and regulators is essential.
