We are seeking various Engineering Technicians to support reliability testing and verification activities for medical devices, with a focus on infusion pump systems. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with electromechanical testing, reliability testing, and design verification testing to ensure product performance and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform electromechanical testing on infusion pump systems and related components.
- Conduct reliability testing to simulate years of usage, identifying potential failure modes and ensuring product durability.
- Execute design verification testing to confirm that products meet design and regulatory requirements.
- Set up and operate test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
- Document test results, analyze data, and report findings to engineering teams.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues identified during testing.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and cross-functional teams to support product development and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure test procedures comply with quality and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
- B.S. in an Engineering discipline is preferred but not required depending on relevant experience.
- Experience with electromechanical testing in a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of reliability testing methodologies and ability to simulate product lifespan under various conditions.
- Hands-on experience conducting design verification testing for medical devices or complex electromechanical systems.
- Familiarity with infusion pump systems or similar medical device technology is preferred but not required.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and test protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience working in the medical device industry.
- Understanding of ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and medical device testing standards.
- Experience with test automation, data logging, and analysis software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
