The Role
As a Business Development Representative focused on advertising sales, you will drive revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities. You will collaborate with an Account Manager to ensure seamless campaign fulfillment, client satisfaction, and success. This includes supporting contract renewals and identifying upsell opportunities.
You’ll report directly to the Head of Sales, attend sales meetings to align on strategy, and help define your sales campaigns and vertical focuses. Occasional travel may be required to attend industry conferences or meet with clients in person.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about financial markets or advertising, has excellent communication and sales skills, and thrives in a high-energy, results-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and Qualify Leads : Research, prospect, and engage potential advertising partners aligned with Stocktwits’ audience and offerings.
- Pitch and Close Deals : Effectively communicate Stocktwits’ advertising value propositions through compelling pitches, customized proposals, and negotiated agreements.
- Collaborate on Fulfillment : Work with an Account Manager to deliver on client commitments, ensuring campaigns meet expectations and provide measurable results.
- Drive Retention and Growth : Assist in contract renewals and upsell opportunities to maximize client value and revenue.
- Strategize with Leadership : Attend sales meetings with the Head of Sales to define your sales campaigns, refine strategies, and target specific verticals.
- Travel as Needed : Occasionally travel to industry conferences or client meetings to build relationships and represent Stocktwits.
- Understand the Market : Develop a deep understanding of Stocktwits’ advertising products, the fintech landscape, and client needs to tailor pitches and strategies effectively.
- Track and Report Metrics : Maintain detailed records of prospecting, sales activity, and performance metrics using CRM tools. Provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline status and revenue opportunities.
- Stay Informed : Keep up to date with digital advertising trends, best practices, and competitor offerings to position Stocktwits as a leader in the space.
