Portfolio Manager
Venture Search is collaborating with a prominent investment platform that manages under $2 billion in assets and has close to 15 years of experience. They operate on a global scale, predominantly in the US. The firm employs a multi-strategy approach, primarily concentrating on equity, credit converts, volatility, and event-driven investments.
The client is looking for a seasoned Portfolio Manager who has a proven history implementing either systematic or fundamental strategies.
Role and responsibilities:
- Independently oversee a capital allocation by designing, executing, and tracking a strategy.
- Enforce rigorous risk management practices, continually evaluating the validity of all positions and investment theories.
- Collaborate effectively with the broader team, gaining insights and contributing value through shared knowledge and expertise.
- Ensure strict adherence to all industry regulations, rules, and internal company policies.
Experience:
- Demonstrated history of success in equity, credit converts, volatility, and event-driven investment strategies.
- 5 years of experience in managing portfolios with a proven track record, within a hedge fund or asset management setting.
- RV (Relative Value) trading style preferred.
- Experience executing mid to low-frequency trading strategies (holding periods ranging from intraday to several months) within a trading environment.
- Skilled in quantitative research, portfolio development, transaction cost optimization, risk management, execution, and post-trade analysis.
