We are a community driven company exceling when our employees strive for the best. The ideal candidate is a team player, accurate, energetic and friendly. We cater to a wide variety of locals and tourists, ranging from casual ski/board enthusiast’s, ski racers, and those new to the sport.
The pay range is $18 - $25/hour plus amazing tips. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
We are hiring for this position at the following locations:
- Base Camp - 298 Hansen Ranch Rd, Vail, CO 81657
As a Rental Ski Tech/Valet, you will be responsible for customer service, renting ski and snowboard equipment, answering phones, restocking product, checking in/out guest equipment appropriately and so much more. Ski valet is responsible for giving and storing guests skis/boards and boots. Employees must be prepared for all weather conditions and have the ability to carry 40 lbs. while going up and down stairs. Variety of shifts available from morning, afternoon, evening and split shifts. All shifts vary depending on location.
Responsibilities (to include but not limited)
- VIP Customer Service
- Equipment setup for ski and snowboard rentals
- Storing/Valet guests personal or rental equipment
- Determine customer equipment needs and make product recommendations for both rental and retail
- Knowledge of tuning boards/skis
- Resolve customer problems efficiently and tactfully
- Complete necessary paperwork neatly and accurately
- Comply with all company procedures and regulations to include work uniform and self-presentation
- Restocking product
- Cleaning/Disinfecting of shop – including but not limited to trash removal, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting etc.
- Organizing both retail and rental merchandise back stock
Requirements
- Full Time or Part Time Seasonal Employment (November - April)
- A varied schedule will include holidays, weekdays, weekends with morning, evening and split shifts
- Proficient in English – Speaking, reading & writing
- Strong communication skills
- Meet grooming and uniform standards (provided)
- Must have an outgoing, friendly personality with exceptional customer service skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to carry 40 lbs
- Capable of running stairs multiple times a day (Base Camp, Grand Hyatt & Bachelor Gulch locations)
- Basic computer skills
- Organized, clean and able to work in a shared work space
- Working knowledge of products
- Passionate end-user: skiing, snowboarding, etc.
