We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our inside sales team as Customer Support/Inside Sales Representative. This position will maintain, grow, and service new and existing accounts. Our selected candidate will work closely with outside sales representatives, purchasing, operations, logistics, and the customer to establish strong, long-term relationships by ensuring that the needs of the customer are met accurately and timely. This role will ensure high-quality customer service to external customers, including rapid response to all inquiries, as well as execute on-time delivery according to customer specifications. The role will be responsible for informing customers of delivery setbacks and changes in order status, as well as ensuring proper inventory levels are maintained from forecast to shipment. This role also includes supporting customers on quoting material needs by the company.
Education
2-4 year college degree in business or a related field or relevant work experience.
Experience
2-3 years of sales area experience. Previous steel experience and product knowledge is an asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Process orders from end to end
- Confirm data accuracy in orders and invoices
- Contact customers to obtain missing information or answer inquiries
- Communicate important feedback from customers to our internal team
- Ensure targets are met and report any deviations
- Set up new accounts
- Maintain and update customer profile and information
- Communicate with the logistics department to ensure timely deliveries
- Collaborate with other sales team members to obtain and service our customers and coordinate with purchasing, scheduling, production, shipping, quality, and finance promoting our core value of providing industry leading customer service by ensuring the smooth operation and delivery of material.
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Knowledge of basic computer applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately enter/maintain information
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Self motivated and able to maintain a schedule
- Ability to produce and analyze sales reports
- Knowledge of sales performance metrics

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
