The Fabrication Associate is responsible for creating finished products based on drawings and material cut lists provided by the Manufacturing Project Manager. This is a general labor position, not a welding position.

Role Overview
The Fabrication Associate is responsible for creating finished products based on drawings and material cut lists provided by the Manufacturing Project Manager. This is a general labor position, not a welding position.
Responsibilities
- Tacks material together and checks that layout is correct based on drawing and then finish welds material to create finished product.
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and sketches and to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form.
- Able to read a tape measure and gauges, type of materials according to specifications.
- Perform high mathematics, convert decimals to factional equivalents and fractions to decimal equivalents.
- Layout, measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials.
- Set up and operate fabricating machines and knowledge of air/hand tools.
- Inspect parts for accuracy and produce quality products consistently.
- Additional project as assigned by supervisor.
- Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 1-year forklift experience required.
- Basic knowledge in the area of machinery, tools, and fabrication.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Solid ability to solve problems.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Proven experience with quality control analysis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Strong communications skills (verbal and written) with ability to create strong relationships.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, twist, stand for long periods of time, climb, push, pull, carry, reach for items, and endure frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
- Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug test where required.
