Role Overview
The HRIS Benefits Analyst provides comprehensive HRIS support, develops HR reports, dashboards, and scorecards on HR metrics, and manages Paylocity system upgrade processes. This role involves collaboration with HR functional areas to deploy new functionality, ensure the integrity and accuracy of HR information, and deliver excellent customer service to end users of all HR systems. Reconciliation of all benefits and coordination with the finance team monthly.
Responsibilities
- Collects and compiles key HR metrics and data from various sources, including HRIS and payroll, benefits records, management and employee surveys, personnel records, and government labor statistics. Provide HRIS support and develop HR reports, dashboards, and scorecards on HR metrics.
- Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention toward benefits enrollment, leaves, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
- Research or coordinate with appropriate benefits vendors to research alternatives for health, wellness, retirement plans, and benefit providers.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
- Manages Paylocity system upgrade processes and the deployment of new system functionality.
- Maintains the integrity, accuracy, and proper use of HR information retrieved from systems.
- Deliver on-the-job and formal training to functional system users.
- Coordinate the testing of new configurations before production and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Act as the core user escalation point for customer-related Paylocity issues.
- Build and update Paylocity business processes and configurations.
- Serve as a backup for full-cycle payroll processing, including manual check preparation using Paylocity. Audit payroll processes to verify accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Administer leave programs (FMLA, ADA, disability, and paid time off), ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinates benefits processing. Configures open enrollment, processes enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, and related changes as needed.
- Reconcile benefits invoices and resolve any discrepancies, making necessary adjustments.
- Develop and maintain HRIS systems in collaboration with HRIS analysts and the IT department to ensure accurate reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports for management and compliance purposes.
- Participate in due diligence processes for potential acquisitions, assessing payroll and benefits needs and risks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- At least three years of experience in related HRIS/Benefit positions.
- Thoroughly understand local, state, and federal employment, HR, and benefits administration laws.
- 3 years plus in a functional or technical support role in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience utilizing various HRIS systems and applications. Preferred: Experience with Paylocity.
- Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
- The ability to communicate effectively, both in written and verbal forms.
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- A detail-oriented work style, comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Salary Description
$75,000.00 - $80,000.00 bonus
