Role Overview

We seek a diligent and efficient Material Handler to join our manufacturing team at Joe White Tank, a Venturi Supply company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and accurate handling, movement, and storage of materials within our distribution center. This role involves supporting various manufacturing operations to ensure timely order fulfillment and distribution of raw materials/finished goods.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, Sky Tracks, and overhead cranes, to transport materials and products within the facility.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring the accurate counting and inspection of all items.
• Organize and store materials in designated areas, following inventory control procedures and maintaining accurate records.
• Assist in the picking and packing of orders to ensure timely and accurate shipment to customers.
• Maintain shop flow by keeping weld cells full and transporting work in progress to other stations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety and cleanliness standards.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet daily operational targets and enhance workflow efficiency.
• Participate in training programs and safety meetings to stay updated on best practices and operational changes.
• Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
  
  

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with material handling equipment and safety protocols.
• Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and engage in physical activities throughout the workday.
