Configuration Managment Specialist II

VES is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst II to join our exciting team at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in support to the SSBN and In-Service Platform Engineering Configuration Management and Integrated Logistics Support.

 

This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in conducting the handling of classified and unclassified material. The person in this role will prepare transmittal paperwork for shipments, track deliveries to ensure shipments have been received, upload receipts and file electronically.  Additional responsibilities include following up with Squadrons to confirm deliveries and notifications via phone calls and/or emails.  The selected candidate will work closely with Division Heads to ensure their availability for signature of approval for all deliveries and work with the Installation Team Leads to determine installation requirements.  The ideal candidate demonstrates a high attention to detail and excels as an effective communicator in both verbal and written forms. 

 

The anticipated work location is on site in Newport, RI.

Required Experience
•    Effective communication, both verbal and written
•    Strong time management skills
•    Experience in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook
•    High School Diploma
•    Secret security clearance or higher

 

Desired Experience
•    Database experience: NTIRA, AIMTC, BITs
•    Minimum 5 years’ experience with logistics/Configuration Management at NUWC
•    Drafting and submitting DD-1149s for shipments
•    Experience with Classified shipments
•    Associate and/or Bachelor Degree
