Ventus Executive Solutions (VES) is seeking a skilled IT Specialist/ Systems Administrator II to support an innovative program. The ideal candidate will have a background in Information Systems and Information Assurance. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in help-desk technical support, software and hardware troubleshooting, network administration, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the lab’s information technology systems, ensuring data security and integrity, and supporting users in troubleshooting technical issues. Work Location: Middletown, Rhode Island
Required Experience:
• 5 years of collective experience in Information Systems, IT Support, and Network Administration, preferably within the Department of Defense (DoD) or government contracting environment
• Proficiency in Windows Server Administration and Windows XP, 7, 8, and 10 operating systems
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365, software installation (including Adobe products), and troubleshooting hardware/software issues
• Strong understanding of Information Assurance, network security, and regulatory compliance. Experience with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server administration
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and DoD cybersecurity guidelines
• Excellent interpersonal skills such as communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Active DoD Security Clearance
• U.S. citizenship is required
