Who You Are:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Media Planner to develop and execute media strategies across various platforms. You will collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure campaigns are effective, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have experience in media planning and buying across multiple channels, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously. You should be adaptable, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on optimizing strategies based on performance and market conditions.
What You Are Accountable For:
- Media Planning & Buying: Develops and negotiates strategies for buying media time and space across multiple platforms, including TV, radio, digital, print, and outdoor, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and target audience.
- Negotiation Skills: Negotiates media contracts with agencies, vendors, and media outlets, securing favorable terms and rates.
- Campaign Management: Plans, manages, and reviews media campaigns with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure campaigns are on track and effectively executed.
- Performance Analysis: Analyzes media performance data, tracks trends, and adjusts strategies to optimize campaign outcomes based on performance metrics and market conditions.
- Budget & Financial Management: Manages media budgets, tracks financial transactions, and ensures campaigns are executed within budget while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Creative Collaboration: Works closely with creative teams to align media strategies with messaging and visuals, ensuring cohesive and targeted campaigns.
- Industry Awareness: Keeps up to date with media trends, new platforms, and audience behavior to inform and optimize media strategies.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Quickly addresses issues, offers solutions to challenges, and adjusts strategies as necessary to ensure smooth campaign execution.
- Communication & Reporting: Provides regular updates to managers, stakeholders, and internal teams on campaign status, financial tracking, and negotiation progress.
- Target Audience Identification: Identifies target audiences for campaigns and develops the most effective communication strategies to reach them.
- Collaboration: Coordinates with team members and stakeholders to align campaign goals, creative strategies, and launch plans.
Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in media planning, buying, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of media planning and buying across digital, TV, radio, print, and outdoor channels.
- Experience with media buying platforms, such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, or programmatic buying tools.
- Proficiency in analyzing media performance data and making data-driven decisions.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of securing optimal media placements.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Creative, Marketing, and Agencies.
- Familiarity with budget management and tracking media spending.
- Knowledge of industry trends and emerging media platforms.
- Experience working with digital marketing strategies and audience targeting.
