The Staff Accountant provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close
- Facilitates and completes monthly close procedures
- Analyzes revenue, commissions, and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately monthly
- Prepares monthly account reconciliations
- Analyzes financial statements monthly and reports variances
- Assists with financial and tax audits
- Assists with quarterly commission reports concerns, analyzing, and correcting discrepancies
- Documents and monitors internal control
- Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting theory
- CPA designation is preferred
- 5 years Accounting or Finance experience
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external customers to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results
