Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Venue Director to join our team who dreams big about what we can be, but who loves disciplined daily sales efforts, creating world-class events, and the execution experience to make it happen. As the Venue Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving strategy to leverage all our facilities and marketing channels to maximize our potential. You will passionately pursue and close event sales of all kinds, starting with our well-established in-bound marketing engine that puts many leads in your lap by email, web inquiry, or phone. The bigger opportunity is the need for consistent strategic involvement around the greater Omaha community at trade shows, wedding expos, relationship development with party planners, and all other effective means to tell our story and sell outings. The Granary will be the perfect passion project for the right person who truly believes this is their dream job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Sales: Actively market and sell events, with a focus on weddings, corporate events, and non-profit gatherings.
- Energetic Tours: Conduct dynamic and engaging tours of The Granary, showcasing our venue's unique features and capabilities that match the vision of the client.
- Sales Contract Closing: Successfully negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring client satisfaction and profitability.
- Community Involvement: Build and maintain relationships within the community to generate leads and promote The Granary.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, communicate effectively and make sure their vision is brought to life.
- Coordination: Work closely with vendors, caterers, ticketing partners, and contractors to ensure flawless execution of all events.
- Team Building: Build upon and lead our top-notch team for “day of” event execution including set up, tear down, cleaning and coordination.
- Facility Management: Ensure the venue is always well-maintained, clean, and ready for events, coordinating with maintenance staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event sales and management, with a focus on weddings, corporate events, and non-profit gatherings.
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Tremendously detailed and organized, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including many evenings and weekends when needed.
- Proficiency in event management software, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Hubspot, Facebook, Instagram and other social networks.
