JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Venus Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bilingual Payroll and Accounting Specialist to support our finance and payroll functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, handling employee inquiries, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with employees and vendors.

- Assist with timecard collection, ensuring timely approvals and accuracy before payroll processing.
- Manage payroll processing, including time entry review, payroll batch validation, and submission through Spectrum & Paycom.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, tax withholdings, deductions, and direct deposits via Paycom’s self-service portal, calls, and emails.
- Maintain and update payroll records, process employment verifications, and audit time-off requests for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with 401(k) contributions, employer matches, wage garnishments, and deductions.
- Process and input pay raises, ensuring correct entry into Spectrum and Paycom.
- Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper approval and accurate posting to the Spectrum accounting system.
- Handle company credit card transactions and cash ticket payouts.
- Prepare and distribute approved vendor payments.
- Respond to financial inquiries from employees and vendors.
- Communicate with employees in both English and Spanish to ensure clarity and understanding of payroll and accounting-related matters.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in payroll, accounting, or a related field.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
- Proficiency in Paycom, Spectrum, and HeavyJob preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position of 40 hours a week. With job functions being performed in an office setting

Salary : $42,100 - $56,500
