Job Description
Position Purpose:
Responsible for the development and implementation of highly technical applications and methodologies to
leverage the current customer focus and business development strengths. Develop strategic processes to
enhance competitive posturing with respect to changing market conditions.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing and the safety and health and welfare of employees in receiving and scheduling departments.
- Develop procedures for the receiving department to optimize the effectiveness and accuracy of receiving loads and getting the documentation processed with few errors.
- Responsible for coordinating audits and arranging site tours for auditors and customers.
- Responsible for scheduling and supporting witness burns. Ensures scheduling communications are consistent with customers.
- Ensures billing is accurate by conducting regular audits on invoices and responding to billing issues.
- Develop and maintain KPIs and Visual Dashboards to keep employees informed on how the facility is doing.
- Interfaces with customers and regulators during facility audits, inspections, etc.
- Interact with internal and external customers pertaining to new and ongoing projects.
- Improve the empty container management process to ensure roll-off trucks and tankers are accurately accounted for and process in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related discipline preferred
- Manager or Supervisory experience preferred
- 10 years of hazardous waste industry or large utility/industrial plant experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Experience leading change and managing teams
- Ability to engage and inspire teams at all levels and across functions to achieve results.
- Time management and ability to organize manage multiple deadlines
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Products
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
