The Maintenance Manager energizes & motivates an experienced team of maintenance employees
to work safely, improve cycle time, focus on quality, & meet production goals. Oversees and ensures
that the equipment, machinery, general repairs, site maintenance, installation of new
equipment/systems, and preventative maintenance programs are carried out efficiently and
properly. Focuses on preventative maintenance programs and improvements. Teams with the Plant
Manger to foster a compliance-based culture and acts as a driving force for EHS programs and safety.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversees the plant maintenance staff and directs all maintenance operations.
- Coordinates and schedules the maintenance operations with other plant operations teams to ensure efficient and safe operations
- Executes on the preventative maintenance strategies for the plant by use of SAP (ERP)
- Participates in the selection, interviewing & hiring of new maintenance employees
- Manages the orientation & training of new employees
- Works with all maintenance related vendors to ensure that the plant and facility are in good working order
- Motivates employees thru inclusiveness, tangible rewards & recognition, & strategic developmental plans
- Champions integrity & ethical work practices
- Acts as a resource in the diagnosis of malfunctioning machinery, installation of new equipment and systems, and general repairs
- Leads by example & develops close working relationships with the plant staff, vendors, customers & leaders

Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in an operations or management position)
- At least two additional years of maintenance, operations or management experience
- Ability to read and interpret instruction and safety manuals
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Mathematical skills, including math operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratio and percentages
- Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
- Ability to work in the elements
- Ability to lift a minimum 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to work with chemicals, hazardous materials
Preferred:
- BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Demonstrated knowledge of water treatment processes, pumps, motors
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing process and/or Six Sigma
- Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety Regulations
- Strong oral and written communication skills
