Job Description
Veolia's AquaServices business, based out of Veolia Water Technologies Dayton business unit, continues to grow and we at a place to add to our team of Technicians and Operators that support our deionized water, industrial water and wastewater treatment systems. The High Purity Water Technician will be working in the Ann Arbor Michigan area. The ideal candidate would have 2 - 5 years minimum experience in the maintenance/trades environment, and preferred to have experience with Softeners, Reverse Osmosis, or IONX.

The High Purity Water Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the high purity water systems across the University of Michigan’s campus. This is a “hand on” position, with responsibilities for troubleshooting and repair of water systems.
Job Description Highlights & Responsibilities
Provide mechanical support to the deionized water treatment systems through several locations at a client site, minimum travel required
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues
Work independently and as part of a small team
Consistent work schedule with minimum over time
Build relationships and add value to our internal and external stakeholders
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintenance and repair of high purity water equipment including but not limited to; Softeners, Reverse Osmosis, and Deionized tanks.
Collect and test water samples to determine concentration levels and impurities.
Perform all scheduled maintenance, service, and new installations.
Responsible for accurate record keeping of client data such as hardness levels, conductivities, meter readings, RO temperatures, pressures, and flows.
Responsible for entering and updating repair and parts information into Veolia’s data management system.
Coordinate with Veolia’s SDI Operations Manager for ordering tanks, filters, and any necessary expendables.
Prepare and send proposals to clients for preventative maintenance work.
Load Salt into brine tanks
Working Hours 7:00AM-3:30PM; Some overtime hours may be required.
Comply with all Veolia and client safety requirements / protocols
Qualifications
General Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid driver's license. Experience driving a small box truck is preferred.
Must possess 2-5 years experience in a maintenance/trades environment, and prefered to have experience with Softeners, Reverse Osmosis, or IONX.
Knowledge of plumbing / electrical wiring is desired but not required
Must be familiar with computing systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with wet chemistry tests ie. conductivity, hardness, etc. is preferred.
Technical Knowledge – fundamentals of basic mechanics, electrical, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Ability to utilize, organize, and communicate well within Google Office.
