Job Description
Pay Rate : $20.00 to a maximum of $25.00 Per Hour.
Position Purpose :
The Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for supporting the transformation of complex data into actionable insights to inform strategic business decisions. This role focuses on assisting in the design and implementation of BI solutions, including data analysis, data modeling, and visual reporting, to enhance the organization's understanding of its performance and opportunities.
Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) is a 12-week internship opportunity at Veolia for students to gain hands-on experience in sustainability and ecological transformation. They will work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and participate in workshops and networking events. The program aims to nurture talent, promote innovation, and foster meaningful connections between students and industry professionals. Overall, the SEED program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to make a positive impact in the industry.
Program Dates : June 2, 2025 to August 22, 2025.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities :
- Data Analysis and Interpretation : Analyze complex datasets, identify trends, patterns, and correlations, and turn raw data into meaningful and actionable insights to support business objectives and decision-making.
- Dashboard and Report Development : Design, develop, and maintain dynamic BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Looker or Power BI to present data in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand manner for various stakeholders.
- Data transformation : Develop, implement and maintain data transformation processes to consolidate data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across the organization's BI systems.
- Collaboration and Cross-functional Support : Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including business units, IT, and any data user, to understand their data needs and requirements and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support their objectives.
