Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material;
receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.
Schedule is 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM Monday - Friday
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Compute amounts, such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges, using calculator or price list.
- Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors
- Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a chemical manufacturing warehouse environment with hazardous materials
- Willing and able to drive a fork truck and pass certification
- Willing to work overtime as needed
DESIRED SKILLS
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school)
- Minimum of 2 years related experience with hazardous materials
- Minimum of 1 years analytical testing experience
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong computer skills
- Team player, individual thinker
- Customer focused; positive attitude
