What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at Vera Bradley?
Maintain Vera Bradley’s unique 92 acres of landscapes, ponds, ornamental plants, shrubs and trees for corporate campus. Apply fertilizer and other applicable chemicals for lawn and pond maintenance. Will operate mowers, trucks, and other outdoor equipment to keep the property branded.

- Mow, trim, and clean landscape and courtyard
- Apply fertilizer and other chemicals to the property regarding lawn and pond care
- Maintain mulch beds throughout the year; must be pristine and branded with NO dead vegetation
- Maintain ponds to be free of cattails and algae
- Provide updated landscaping plans for approval
- Maintain tidy workspace in equipment storage barn
- Maintain inventory of chemicals and supplies.
- Create purchase requisitions for any supplies needed.
- Perform outdoor equipment PMs
- Perform light maintenance and handyman tasks during winter season
- Apply salt and de-icer to sidewalks during winter months
- Maintain and use snow plowing equipment as needed
- Keep sidewalks clear of snow during business hours
- Work a flexible schedule based on weather patterns throughout the year
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager as needed
- High School Graduate required
- 2 years lawn care experience

- Thorough knowledge of native vegetation life cycles and requirements to maintain
- Experience with CMMS a plus
- Strong team player
- Detail oriented with ability to prioritize and manage workload
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong decision making ability
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
