We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Director to provide clinical oversight and leadership at one of our long-term care clients. This part-time contract position is ideal for a licensed MD who is passionate about improving the quality of care for residents and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. The Medical Director will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide medical oversight and guidance to the facility's clinical and administrative teams.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for residents.
- Conduct regular reviews of residents' medical conditions and treatment plans to ensure optimal care outcomes.
- Serve as a liaison between the facility, residents, families, and external healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including infection control and quality assurance programs.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, including risk management and performance reviews.
- Provide training, support, and mentorship to clinical staff on medical best practices and protocols.
- Serve as the facility's representative for medical inquiries during audits, inspections, and reviews.
- Stay updated on advancements in geriatric and long-term care medicine to enhance resident care.
