Actively seeking a Senior Electrical / I&C Engineer in Charlotte, NC with 8-12 years of experience, who will be responsible for a variety of engineering modification projects for nuclear generating stations.
Candidate will be part of a team of Electrical and Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineers supporting our growing work for the Nuclear Industry. Performed under the direct supervision of a Supervising Discipline or Lead Engineer.
Requirements
B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering from an accredited 4-year university with course work in Control Systems.
8-12 years overall experience in design of control systems for power plants or heavy industrial facilities.
3 years of experience in I&C design for nuclear plants in North America including new plants or modification of existing operating plants.
For new generation plants: Development of control system architecture and design basis documents
For modifications to operating nuclear plants: Familiarity with the nuclear standard design process, and experience preparing engineering drawings including but not limited to wiring diagrams and schematics, P&IDs, logic diagrams, instrument hookups, etc. for plant modification packages including digital upgrades.
Preparation of specifications for control systems for plant process/auxiliary systems.
Preparation and review of logic diagrams and system functional

Candidate will be part of a team of Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineers supporting our growing work for the Nuclear Industry. Work will include:
- Engineering for operating plants in the U.S. including preparation of Engineering Change Packages including plant digital upgrades. Work includes preparation of packages that include specifications and data sheets, calculations, and modifications to existing plant drawings; provide support to proposals, prepare purchase requisitions, and review of vendor drawings.
- Designs for new generation nuclear plants including Small Modular Reactors (SMR), including development of conceptual design and related design basis documents to support licensing of new nuclear generating plants, preparation of specifications and bid packages for control systems, and detailed I&C design for new generating plants.
- Candidate will support multiple projects and will coordinate activities with clients, contractors, vendors and other members of the project teams.
