Ideal Candidate : Candidates must have conflict research experience within a law firm.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform detailed research on incoming parties for client / matters or preliminary conflict checks.
Analyze research results and conflict reports to identify potential conflicts of interest.
Notify and advise attorneys and administrative staff on potential or actual conflicts, proposing necessary resolutions.
Update and maintain corporate hierarchies in the firm's conflicts and billing databases.
Proactively research mergers, acquisitions, and potential bankruptcies documenting findings in the conflicts database.
Handle complex conflict issues in consultation with the Professional Responsibility Committee or the Office of General Counsel.
Process administrative requests such as closing, reopening, and changing client or matter details.
Occasionally work overtime and manage additional research and analysis projects as needed.
Skills and Qualifications :
Intermediate proficiency in conflict-related software, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Microsoft Word), and business communication.
Knowledgeable in research methodologies.
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in research or conflict management is required.
