SAP Business Analyst
6 Month Contract to Hire
5 Days a week onsite - ! This position is onsite the first 4 months and then will go hybrid!

1. Purchase to Pay : must have end to end knowledge of purchase process
2. Subcontracting Process : Siemens has very complex processes since they have complex products
3. SAP MRP knowledge
4. Soft Skills - good comms and good team player as they will be interfacing with offshore people and are right in the middle of the business.
Specific Requirements - Skills
Knowledge of SAP Materials Management with integration to other areas like MRP, inventory and warehouse management, supplier quality, and finance.
Good understanding of Subcontracting process.
Knowledge of SAP serialization
Knowledge of SAP MRP,
Knowledge of Goods Movements within SAP
Understanding of MTS, MTO strategies, Batch Management.
Understanding of Vendor Master data, Purchasing Groups and Purchasing Organizations.
Expertise in Info record, Source List, Automatic Purchase Orders, Contracts, Stock Transport Orders.
Knowledge of Invoicing Process. Handling GR / IR discrepancies
Experience of working with complex organization structure.
Responsibilities
Implement new business process and enhance existing process in purchasing area.
Responding to SAP based questions.
3) Process Documentation and User Training. - it's not that huge, since they already have a lot of existing docs but when they do enhancements, those docs will need to be updated to reflect the enhancements.
2) Technical support - they sit right next to the manufacturing floor so there's a lot of pressure to deliver quickly...these manufacturing folks can't wait, they need materials to keep the lights on.
1) Interfacing with the offshore IT group (located in India and Thailand). This group is pseudo IT - they're a technology commercial group so they have to communicate business needs to IT Team. This person will interface with those team and come up with designs, write functional specifications. Write these reqs very thoroughly so that Indian / Thai team will understand it clearly.
Three types of ECC activities / responsibilities :
Primary reason for opening : They are starting their journey from SAP ECC to S4 HANA. This project has a 2-3 year long roadmap. The person currently doing their SAP work will be moving onto this project so they need a new team member to support existing SAP program. Essentially need someone to keep lights on, handle reports / requests within the system. Because it's 2-3 years out they're still doing new projects and enhancements.
