Summary of Position :
The Vice President Marketing & Strategy is a key member of McCrometer’s leadership team, reporting directly to the President. This role is responsible for developing and managing high-performing marketing and product teams to drive profitable growth. A summary of core responsibilities include :

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions :
Provide strategic leadership & market Insight
Lead the annual strategic planning process, partnering with the OpCo President
Gain and maintain ongoing understanding of market conditions & drivers, customer needs & trends, and competitive dynamics
Deploy surveys, interviews, customer visits, and other research tactics to gain in-depth voice of customer and proprietary market insights
Distil market, customer, and competitive research into simple, actionable insights to support near- and long-term strategic planning
Communicate strategic insights and initiatives via written and verbal means to inspires confidence and energize McCrometer associates and Verlato executives
Support strategic in-organic business development (e.g., acquisitions and partnerships)
Develop marketing capabilities & process
Define the appropriate marketing team for the company’s maturity / size; make informed organization adjustments to ensure the team operates at the highest level
Build, develop, and motivate a diverse, high-performing marketing team
Lead of all aspects of marketing, including communications, digital / lead generation, and strategic marketing
Lead the identification and implementation of marketing campaigns to generate sales leads, maintain market positioning, and drive brand preference & customer loyalty
Build and execute demand creation activities to support profitable growth (e.g., advertising, trade shows, organic and paid digital, webinars, trainings, etc.)
Lead vertical- and brand-specific strategies, leveraging market insights, segmentation and other strategic marketing approaches
Leverage KPI’s to measure effectiveness of marketing strategies and programs
Manage global marketing budget and manage costs in line with the budget
Ensure marketing team is operating to the highest standards by coaching and developing team members and engaging the full HR tool-kit to actively mange performance of team
Develop product management capabilities & process
Define the appropriate product management team for the company’s maturity / size; make informed organization adjustments to ensure the team operates at the highest level
Build, develop, and motivate a diverse, high-performing product management team
Lead all aspects of product management, including product / tech roadmaps, new product / feature business cases, product launches, and product pricing
Co-own new product development, product quality, compliance, and product-specific regulatory approvals with engineering, operations, and sales
Lead product-specific strategies, leveraging market insights, segmentation, and other strategic approaches to grow and improve positioning vs. competitors
Lead product life cycle management activities to drive profitability, sustain growth and reduce complexity and risk in the organization for mature products
Partner with R&D and Sales to source, propose, develop, and launch new solutions from ideation to development and launch excellence
Build, maintain, and own company-wide product and technology roadmaps, working closely with R&D, sales and operations
Monitor product performance from a revenue, gross margin, quality, and delivery standpoint, with actionable plans to bring improvements across all dimensions
Manage product management budget and manage costs in line with the budget
Ensure product management team is operating to the highest standards by developing team members and engaging the full HR tool-kit to manage team performance
Other Responsibilities and Functions :

Education and Experience :
10 years of marketing, product management, and / or strategic service experience in comparable / growth-oriented industries with 5 years in a senior management position
Bachelor level university degree in Business or Engineering related field
MBA highly desirable
Experience gaining knowledge of customers, company, and competition in new industries
Experience building process to drive customer experience through customer’s buying journey
Experience leading marketing & product initiatives across strategic and operational areas
Skills and Competencies :

Executive presence to quickly establish credibility and drive results with executives and other high-ranking associates internal and external to the organization
Ability to present ideas effectively both verbally and in writing. Able to motivate and inspire both direct and indirect associates through effectively communicating

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $180,000 - $225,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
