Role Overview:

As an apprentice you will develop practical mechanical, electrical and / or instrumentation and control skills which will enable you to become a key member of the Engineering team. 

You will learn the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to be an excellent all round Technician within the compliant manufacture of bulk pharmaceuticals, intermediates and other chemical products.

Core Responsibilities: 

• Maintain all types of equipment - this can be both breakdown and planned preventative maintenance.
• Ensure that all activities are executed in compliance with the technical, safety, health & environmental and operational quality requirements of the manufacturing processes and services 
• Understanding of cGMP and how it relates to the working environment.
• Undertake and complete all relevant training required by the company and through the apprenticeship scheme. 
• Work alongside experienced members of the team working closely and collaboratively to ensure all tasks are completed correctly and safely.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in all areas of work.
• Report any accidents or incidents to your supervisor or mentor.
• Carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed. 

Qualifications: 

Essential

• Basic Education minimum of three Scottish National 5S at Grade A-C including Maths, English & a technical or Science subject
• Written and spoken fluency in English
• Motivated to learn and continue to keep learning
• Safety Awareness
• Good time keeping and organisational skills
• Adaptability and ability to work as part of a team

Desirable

• Exposure to a relevant working environment through work experience or placements
• Working towards formal qualification through apprenticeship
