Job Description
The QC Lab Technician will assist in the laboratory analysis and sampling of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, cleaning verification samples and other miscellaneous samples following relevant SOP’s while adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications. This role also involves basic maintenance of technical equipment and laboratory stock management.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Clean laboratory and equipment when assigned, ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed and labs meet all requirements for housekeeping.
- Maintain supply inventory for labs, including ordering supplies as needed, or as directed.
- Execute basic laboratory testing with a high degree of scientific integrity, both on time and on target, to high quality with guidance.
- Ensure strict compliance with Quality (cGMP and GDP), Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) and other relevant standards in all aspects of work.
- Act on feedback and show continues commitment to learning and development.
- Work towards independent working, demonstrating an awareness of, and conscientious effort to consistently meet deadlines.
- Perform work following all state and federal regulations, including but not limited to GMP, DEA, FDA, etc.
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written form
- Other duties as requested by supervisor
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 or more years of lab experience required.
- AS in Chemistry or equivalent preferred.
- Capable with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word) required.
- Attention to detail required.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment required.
- Good written and verbal communication required.
- Ability to work in analytical chemistry lab and with related equipment and supplies required.
- Good time-management skills and dependability regarding daily tasks required.
- Previous GMP experience preferred.
