Role Overview:

Veranova is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients, focused on specialist niches with expertise in highly regulated and complex chemistries. Operating within two divisions, Generics and Originators, we deliver a differentiated service offering to pharma and biotech customers for every stage in the drug development lifecycle.
The Facilities Engineering team at the Veranova West Deptford site is responsible for executing new capital projects to enhance safety, quality and efficiency of the manufacturing operations. In addition, the team provides continuous improvement capabilities and subject matter expertise in various manufacturing and utility unit operations.
Our program consists of a 10–12-week internship at our West Deptford, NJ location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with an experienced engineer to execute one or two specific projects which you will own from start to finish.
- Assist with other longer-term projects to achieve a well-rounded experience.
- Prepare comprehensive Requests for Proposal for capital work.
- Manage outside contractors who are employed to complete projects within agreed-upon timelines and budget.
- Carry out any other duties which are within the interns’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed
Qualifications:
- Working towards a BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum Overall GPA of 2.7 required
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a true career aspiration to be a leader
- Must be adaptable, strive for excellence, and demonstrate a positive attitude in the face of adversity
- Strong interpersonal skills a must, coupled with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve results
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills essential
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
