Construction Foreman – Heavy Civil / Excavation / Utility Work
Verardi Landscapes LLC – Pittsburgh, PA
Verardi Landscapes LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead and manage all on-site operations for our projects in the Pittsburgh area. We specialize in high-quality outdoor living spaces, excavation, and heavy civil work. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a motivated individual with a strong background in sitework and underground utility installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily on-site operations including crew supervision, equipment use, and material handling
- Coordinate and execute the installation of precast concrete structures such as inlets and manholes
- Install stormwater piping and related underground utility systems according to plans and specifications
- Read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and grade stakes
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality and safety standards
- Communicate and coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers
- Monitor jobsite safety and enforce company policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, deliveries, and jobsite activities
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy civil construction, excavation, and utility installation
- Strong working knowledge of precast concrete structures and stormwater systems
- Proven leadership ability to manage crews and equipment effectively
- Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment in all weather conditions
