Verasonics is hiring a full-time HR Manager based out of our office in Kirkland!
We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join our team and lead our HR function, to include (but not limited to) performance management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, compliance, policy development, recruitment, and succession planning.
This role will provide hands-on tactical and strategic HR support to our small, global organization, and requires the ability to confidently address complex HR needs with the support of leadership and consultants (e.g. attorneys, brokers, etc.). Our HR Manager role provides the opportunity to touch all areas of HR, interface regularly with executives, and navigate new challenges with a growth mindset.
Successful candidates will have a solid HR Generalist background, preferably in a professional services, engineering or technical environment, with excellent communication, problem-solving and software skills.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manages benefits administration, including analysis, recommendations, and maintenance
- Keeps up to date on local and federal employment law to ensure continued compliance
- Maintains communication with international payroll providers and accountants regarding employment and compliance matters
- Manages various visa or immigration processes with the help of immigration attorneys
- Monitors the performance management cycle throughout the year, promotes manager and employee participation in performance management activities, and engages them to meet performance management deadlines and schedules
- Works closely with executive and management staff to provide expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities (including policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, performance management, coaching, career development, leaves of absence, etc.)
- Researches, analyzes, and produces reports, and presentations on human capital, compensation, employee benefits, employment law, etc.
- Ensures the talent management process is actively implemented across the business and complies with affirmative action requirements; manages full cycle recruitment
- Oversees workplace investigations, disciplinary and termination procedures
- Serves as the representative with external agencies (EEOC, Unemployment, Department of Labor, etc.) and various external consultants
- Creates and maintains databases of employee compensation and records; Interacts with sales organization on variable compensation
- Assesses and actively manages leave of absence requests and ADA requests
- Manages all required business filings
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years of related human resources experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of WA state and federal employment laws.
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS
- High level of integrity and discretion.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with staff, leadership, vendors and partners.
- Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
- Previous exposure to a global work environment; Professional services, engineering and/or technical industry experience
- BambooHR familiarity
- Bilingual – English/Spanish
