The Senior Technician in Verbal Beginnings Centers is responsible for supporting therapy effectiveness, culture, and safety of the classroom. This involves executing therapeutic services for clients while modeling, training, and supporting the other technicians in the classroom.
Verbal Beginnings is a leading Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy provider serving children diagnosed with autism. We are currently hiring for passionate Senior Therapists to join our team at our early intervention ABA center!
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday. Shifts are 7:30am-4:00pm and 8:30am - 5:00pm. Candidates must be available to work either shift.
Responsibilities
The Role:
The role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of both clients and staff in a positive environment at all times. The responsibilities include providing direct therapy, leading or assisting with daily group instruction, and completing administrative duties. Additionally, the role requires active participation in team meetings and training workshops, ensuring preparedness for each session with the appropriate therapeutic materials, a positive attitude, and a solid understanding of the programs. The individual may also assist in training ABATs/JTs/LTs on client management and serve as a mentor to other technicians. Maintaining a clean, organized work environment and adhering to the policies and procedures of Verbal Beginnings is essential.

Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Required
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor's Degree in related field: health care or core sciences or
- Enrolled in ABA Master's program, participating in VBA
Experience Requirements:
- More than 1 year of experience providing ABA services full time
- RBT certification in good standing
- 2 years of experience providing ABA services full time
- Previous experience with or knowledge of individuals with ASD and ABA therapy
- BLS/CPR Certification including pediatric BLS/CPR is required (must obtain prior to or shortly after hire).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to growth and development in the ABA field.

- Regularly required to perform activities such as reaching, grasping, walking briskly or running, sitting on the floor, kneeling, crouching, ascending and descending stairs, and transitioning quickly between standing, sitting, and other positions (e.g., floor, chair, or other surfaces) throughout the day.
- Ability to interact effectively by speaking clearly, using age-appropriate language, and observing and maintaining attention through verbal and non-verbal communication
- Successful completion of Safety Care training and Re-Certifications, which includes carrying children per Safety Care training. Active participation in Safety Care is a condition of employment.
