Sales Representative
Verbatim Americas seeks a Sales Representative for generating leads, contacting potential customers, promoting products, and building relationships with clients under the guidance of the Vice President of Sales with the goal of achieving sales targets and contributing to the overall company growth. This position will be in the Charlotte, NC office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Identifies and qualifies potential customers through various channels like cold calling, email outreach, networking, and market research.
- Reaches out to prospects, providing product information, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Builds relationships/establishes rapport with existing accounts and internal teams.
- Delivers product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients and existing account.
- Coordinates promotional opportunities with Marketing and product management.
- Works with customer service to ensure accurate customer profile (e.g., transportation needs, shipping addresses, ordering procedures).
- Follows the sales process, managing leads through the sales funnel, and coordinates with other departments to close deals.
- Assists Key Account Managers with administrative tasks, preparing sales materials and attending sales meetings.
- Stays updated on industry trends, competitor analysis and product knowledge to effectively answer customer inquiries.
- Formulates plans that include products, packaging, unit of sales and pricing that fulfills clients' needs and Verbatim's goals.
- Prepares pricing suggestions based on competitive information within accounts and channels.
- Attends trade shows, customer events, meetings and corporate functions as necessary.

- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field; 1 to 3 years sales-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Retail sales experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail, self-motivated and strong team player.
- Should be proficient in Outlook; Excel spreadsheets to include pivot tables and graphs; the ability to use PowerPoint to produce dynamic presentations; and Word.
- Ability to understand the basic technical features of each of our products, how they work, and what they are used for by our customers/consumers.
- Must be detail oriented, a self-starter, diligent, timely, takes initiative, follows through, independent thinker, leader, and quick learner.
- Should excel in multi-tasking, planning schedules, and meeting deadlines.
