Description :
We're is aiding a well-known client in their search for a Senior GCP Cloud Engineer. This will be 100% remote contract and this person will be asked to work Pacific Standard Time. This role is for a senior level GCP engineer that will be working closely with the Architect, and customer engineers.
Ideally, they will be experienced in the details of FinOps Practices, and how to baseline, analyze, and implement cost savings measures that will be automated where possible and integrated into initial provisioning of infrastructure and existing pipelines.
You will be asked to work closely with project managers and change coordinators to ensure downtime is minimized and changes are documented.

- HLD & DLD cloud-based build & deployment
- Work within framework Scrum, Kanban
- Train other engineering resources

General Requirements :
Experience and Skills :
Knowledge of Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Key Management, Access Controls and Security Protocols, Network routing, Firewalls, ACL's, cloud IaaS components on GCP
Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C .
Experience automating Cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, e.g. Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible.
Experience architecting and maintaining high availability production systems.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with an ability to engage with and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of networking and solutioning hybrid-Cloud platforms.
Knowledge of observability and monitoring in a Cloud environment, with GCP or third-party solutions.
Experience with Agile and DevOps concepts.
Strong understanding of CI / CD workflows and tools.
Experience with Enterprise-grade authentication (SAML, OAuth, Kerberos, etc.)
