What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Technician 2nd shift position at Verde Farms LLC?
Overview : The FSQA Technician is responsible for assuring adherence to the Plant’s Quality Assurance programs. They will be a key member of the team and engaged in establishing, implementing, documenting, and monitoring Food Safety and Quality programs at the Verde Farm’s facility. In addition, this person will assist in the development of programs that will address any opportunities and implement program upgrades. This is a hands-on position. This position reports to the Director of FSQA. Roles and Responsibilities : Performing pre and / or post-operational inspections. Monitor and document adherence to the food safety program. Assure observance and execution of the policies and procedures (i.e., GMP Policy and Personnel Hygiene Policy). Performing calibration checks, including but not limited to thermometers, scales, and other process monitoring devices. Accountable for accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and maintenance of documents. Work a flexible schedule as needed to ensure proper coverage during all production times. Required to have or obtain a working knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis / Critical Control Point). Provide additional support and perform other duties as requested by management, within the scope and abilities Competencies : High school diploma or general education degree (GED. Ability to multi-task and communicate with personnel of all levels and cultural backgrounds. Minimum 2 years of food manufacturing experience Knowledgeable of food production methods, sanitary standards, and hygiene practices. Food quality or food safety background preferred. Must be comfortable walking for extended periods of time in a cold environment. Strong ability to work autonomously and effectively meet deadlines.
