Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Technician at Verdeco Recycling, a leading manufacturer in the rPET industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production machinery and equipment. Our facility operates around the clock, and you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including machinery, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and implement effective repairs to restore equipment to optimal performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery to identify and address potential issues before they lead to equipment failures.
- Collaborate with production to address equipment-related problems and improve overall equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment and machinery.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform repairs as needed to minimize production interruptions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair issues.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices related to maintenance and equipment operation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the 24/7 operation.
