What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor position at Verdesian Brand?
Responsibilities
- General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained in good condition
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- Cleaning and stocking restrooms
- Cleaning and stocking break room, kitchen, and board room.
- Clean up spills in the office with the appropriate equipment
- Perform minor maintenance tasks and repairs, including but not limited to
- Replacing light bulbs
- Replacing ceiling tiles
- Repairing and painting minor blemishes and holes in walls
- Notify the manager of major repairs
- Collect and dispose of trash in office areas
- Work with team members to maintain cleaning and other stocked supplies
- Clean and sanitize showers
- Clean locker rooms
- Maintain refrigerators/freezer and clean out every Friday
- Sanitize common touch areas
- Clean windows
- Assist with minor repairs to equipment
- Hanging pictures and repairing walls
- Help to assemble office furniture and small equipment
- Prepares for meetings by setting up tables and chairs- assists with setting up food
- Waters plants in office and re-pots if needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Janitorial experience required
- Basic maintenance and repair experience
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Basic math skills
- Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies
- Familiarity with proper PPE for cleaning
- Must be comfortable working at heights and using ladders
- Be able to read, write and communicate in Spanish
- Have a positive attitudes and natural demeanor to help
