What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Process Engineer position at Verdesian Brand?
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develops innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems through identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes including conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with suppliers and soliciting observations from the operators/production technicians.
- Identify and assist with implementing opportunities to enhance equipment feedback to operators with the goal of complete understanding of material flow throughout the system and using that understanding to ensure maximum throughput.
- Develop and maintain Engineering Flow Diagrams
- Investigates, troubleshoots, and determines root causes and corrective actions for complex manufacturing and equipment problems. Determines root cause of failure using statistical methods (e.g., design of experiment, SPC) may result in changes in design, tolerances, or processing methods.
- Identifies and implements solutions for issues relating to safety, quality, productivity, and cost reductions.
- Develops, updates, and maintains Operating Procedures, Training Documentation for Plant Operations.
- Provide support to the Manufacturing team by assessing operating conditions and results in real time and assisting/guiding operators and supervisors to optimize output and quality.
- Uses Statistical and Analytical tools (SPC, statistical analysis, design of experiments) to troubleshoot and improve Manufacturing Processes and Product Quality
- Defines the functionality of automated control systems and works with configuration engineers towards optimization and improvements of automated control systems.
Criteria:
- Excellent Engineering, Technical knowledge, software/digital skills
- Must possess strong mechanical aptitude to understand equipment function.
- Self-starter and self-directed
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Works well within the Team Environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering
- Experience with Industrial Manufacturing Processes – 3-5 years minimum experience
