Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Acquire knowledge and understanding of dry products and formulations to adequately support operations at the Salt Lake City, Utah, production facility.
- Provide leadership, along with the shift supervisor, to the dry shift team.
- Understanding and capability to operate equipment needed in the dry manufacturing area of the plant. Including, but not limited to milling, spraying of batches, transfer to product into packaging, and labeling.
- Comprehensive understanding of all dry manufacturing processes and documentation.
- Support and execute the dry manufacturing plan as outlined in the dry manufacturing schedule.
- Acts on behalf of the Production Supervisor when they are out of the office.
- Assist in scheduling and maintaining timelines to ensure production is ready as required.
- Responsible for leading the employees to keep all work areas clean and safe.
- Assist in filling out daily reports for the status of work completed.
- Assist with reports of equipment failure.
- Work with employees to ensure a continuous flow of the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure.)
- Assist in other departments when necessary.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Must be able to lift 55 lbs. repeatedly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally throughout the day.
- Ability to work safely at heights.
- Comply with federal laws regulating waste disposal methods.
- Comply with all safety procedures and ensure employees are working in a manner consistent with safety policies and PPE requirements to avoid injury.
- Assure that the dry area is accessible and safe for employees.
- Watch new personnel closely during their probationary periods to create a positive safety culture.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist dry supervisor in the training of employees in their area of responsibility.
- Other duties assigned by the Dry Supervisor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
