Position Summary: Production schedulers use their knowledge of production processes and customer demand information to create master and finite production schedules to support the business requirements. This includes daily, weekly and rolling 12-week production schedules and plans. They must be able to understand the manufacturing work flows, capacities and constraints, and partner closely with Manufacturing and Supply Planning to effectively schedule manufacturing work centers. They must be able to multitask and provide quick responses to unplanned production problems or shifts in demand and understand how to shift resources to ensure that resources are leveraged in the most effective way possible to promote customer satisfaction and profitability.
Essential Job Functions:
- Create, maintain, and communicate the daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to plant leadership and the supply chain team, including Oracle work order entry.
- Collaborate with the procurement team as needed to ensure any shifts in production plans coincide with materials planning.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to manage make to stock and make to order strategy and management of finished goods inventory.
- Provide timely and accurate promise dates for finished goods availability against open orders.
- Provide reporting of KPI’s and metrics associated with production schedule compliance, order fulfillment lead times, inventory management, and others.
- Schedule the production of work in process material in appropriate quantity and timing to support finished goods production plan.
- Provide manufacturing team with all necessary documentation, labeling, etc to complete scheduled production.
- Active member of the SIOP team.
- Key participant in physical inventory process
- Execute work order completions in Oracle accurately and timely.
- Work closely with the supply chain team and plant operations management to coordinate needed outages for both PM and repair work.
- Performs other related duties assigned
Requirements:
- 5 years’ experience in Master and / or Finite Production scheduling.
- Minimum of two years of experience working in a manufacturing and / or warehouse setting.
- Ability and passion to learn new manufacturing processes.
- Capability to understand complex production systems and material balances associated with inventory and BOM
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communicator to convey production schedules, constraints and participate in local plant teams and corporate teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills to lead cross-functional collaboration initiatives
- Skilled in the use of Virtual Conferencing, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Word, and ERP systems (Oracle and advanced Excel a plus)
- Experience understanding and preparing analytical reports, and using data to make production decisions
- Excellent leadership skills and demonstrate high level of personal ownership for delivering upon business requirements
- A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff.

- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Fluent in English.
