Oversees One Manufacturing Site And One Logistics Hub, Managing The Following Functions To Ensure The Daily Operations Of The Site And Continuous Improvement
- Production: quality protocols and improvement, productivity
- Technical: Process control, quality, and process improvement
- Purchasing: Material availability and cost control
- HSE: HSE KPIs improvement plan and actions, regulation compliance
- HR: Employee relations and engagement, performance management, workforce management and training and development
- Controlling: Budget control, code of conduct compliance
- Proposes improvement programs for production processes
- Maintains and develops expertise and know-how to control operations, by supervision on his/her site-organization and filling the vital functions by personnel selection, staffing and training
- Continuous improvement mindset with strong collaborative relationship with the QA/QC and R&D functions
- Establish and maintain an organization culture based on Cytozyme values
- Lead the organization development as role model, provides an environment of high employee satisfaction and positive individual and group morale
- Develop the organization capability including employee engagement process, leadership talent review, annual training programs, and other HR tools.
- Other important parameters for this position include:
- The position will be based in South Salt Lake City, Utah
- Limited travel requirement to support supplier validation and partner capability (primarily remote packaging operations)
- 10 years of Chemical processing fermentation operations experience in manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership experience managing a diverse chemical manufacturing staff of 30 /- employees
- Knowledge of safe work practices, environmental and safety regulations
- Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience with cost management, managing monthly budgets and spending activity
- Organization Development that includes department training programming and strategy
- Strong emotional intelligence
- Outstanding active listening and communication skills
- Problem solving at a broad organization level
- Production knowledge, Standardized work processes/ business processes, project management, ERP, ISO Standards, Site and Corporate Safety
