Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Gain proficient understanding and be capable of operating all equipment where needed in the areas of Plant Production Processes including, but not limited to: Materials, Mixing, Packaging, Dry Production, Compacting, Quality Control, Receiving, and Distribution of all tree spike products.
- Warehouse and store materials in an orderly and consistent manner i.e. Raw vs. WIP vs Finished.
- Maintain housekeeping practices in the assigned area to a high standard to be ready at any time for customers or management tours of the facility.
- Observe equipment operations, test machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning
- Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training
- Perform required QA testing and recording of data on a daily basis
- Review shift paperwork to assure pertinent information is recorded by each operator in each production area to point out and highlight issues affecting production, use and consumption of raw materials, clean outs and finished goods.
- Work with production operators to ensure that inventory supply of materials consistently meets appropriate demand.
- Assist supervisor in delegating tasks to ensure uninterrupted production
- Maintain current fork lift certificate
- Follow all OSHA and company safety rules
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Take over duties when supervisor is not on floor.

Criteria
- Proficiency in all Verdesian Products software and programs related to job functions of this position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient use of MS Office: Word and Excel
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize work
- Proficient use of standard lab equipment
- Ability to handle oneself in stressful situations
- Minimum work experience of 6 months in leadership role
- Minimum education of High School diploma
