Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist Warehouse Manager in directing Warehouse Associates to ensure warehouse plans, procedures, safety practices, and warehouse practices are being followed.
- Lead responsible shift in daily meetings, Gemba walks, and plant support.
- Work with production shift supervisor to ensure smooth operation and communication between warehouse and production staff.
- Shipping and receiving unloading trucks, matching paperwork by confirming accuracy of load/unload, and providing the correct paperwork to customer service.
- Operate the following equipment: forklift and bulk truck loader.
- Sort and place materials in the proper inventory location as directed.
- Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Open bales, crates and other containers.
- Record transfer materials via appropriate computer program.
- Assist in counting of physical inventory.
- Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of processing areas; includes hands-on cleaning and maintenance along with organization and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments. Other duties not listed above as assigned by immediate supervisor
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and confidence
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment.
- Exhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping always
- Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures
- Demonstrate leadership skills in driving change and improving the integrity of applicable processes and systems
- Strong decision making skills and the ability to work and lead team with little direct supervision
- Extend treatment to all other employees of the Company as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customers
- Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail
- High School or GED Certification
- Ability to acquire Forklift Certification
